Restore My Soul – Letting Go & Leaning In
Change seems to improve our grip as we try to hold on to what we are use to and fearful of what lies ahead. I came across a message from Nate Johnston today that really spoke to me and provided an explanation of my message from God.
Message from God: Abandon yourself to Me by letting go
Nate Johnston is a prophetic speaker and this was his post today:
“This is the less is more season. This the the time where if you’ll lean into His presence and pursue His face you’ll see Him do more for you and through you than all the striving, fighting and pushing could ever accomplish. There are people right now trying to make things happen that can only come through letting them go.”
“There are those desperately trying to do what they did in the past season but now there is zero grace to keep moving in that direction and operating in that same method. It no longer works.”
“But there’s a new flow in the letting go. It’s not a season of decrease but of greater glory and increase, but the doorway into it comes by leaning into Him, leaning into His fiery gaze and His pruning hook. Leaning into His love so you can detach yourself from every other affection, activity and distraction that doesn’t add to you any more. It’s the ascending the hill of the Lord and the restoration of wonder and your mighty roar.”
“The pain is momentary and is only a sign of this very increase. The “stuff” surfacing doesn’t mean you are a mess, but that you are clearing the road for new pathways and a new adventure with the Holy Spirit. This week: lean in and you’ll launch forward.”
I felt so empowered and encouraged after hearing that message. It was confirmation that moving forward will look different but that I can release my grip on the past and how things have always been done and launch forward into all that God has for me.
My Prayer
Father, I thank you for the many writers, pastors, teacher and believers who use their gifting for ministering to others. I believe You wanted me to hear this message today and I was truly blessed. Thank you for the many ways You choose to reach us and I pray we will launch forward in faith, leaning into You. In Jesus name, amen.
