One Day At A Time

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23

This year the daily blog is going to focus on living one day at a time with an renewed awareness of the presence of God in our daily lives. The hope is that we will learn to trust in God’s daily provision as we develop Godly character through the experiences we go through.

That provision is more than just material needs. It will include the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control that we need to live as Daughter’s of The King. When this Godly character is displayed in our lives, others will see the difference that knowing Jesus has made in us and through us. This change happens one day at a time.

The ultimate goal of living one day at a time with Jesus is that our hearts will be changed to living for the ONE day when He returns.

The beauty of living one day at a time with Jesus is that life won’t be so overwhelming. It will be broken down into smaller pieces that will be easier to manage and with the right mindset, we will know with assurance that He has already provided everything we need to finish the day well.

Father, I thank you for the new year ahead and for the many opportunities that I will have to see You in each day. Open my eyes, mind and heart to become the person You created me to be. Help me to live one day at a time. In Jesus’ name, amen.
