A New Script - My God My Everything

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. – John 8:32

Have you ever looked in the mirror and began picking away at yourself? Your hair color, the wrinkles, the blemishes, the weight, the list goes on and on. Maybe it’s not you but others who carelessly make mean comments that stick like glue and whittle away at your confidence and self worth. It’s not a pretty picture and before you know it these thoughts and words have taken root and your self image has been trampled. But God’s Word, the ultimate source of Truth is the only script we should be listening too or repeating.

The next step in this Royal Make Over is to change the script. In those moments when the enemy tries to worm his way into our thoughts we need to replace every lie and unkind word with God’s truth. God’s word tells us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5) That means that when a wrong thought enters our minds we have the choice of whether to entertain it and believe it or to make it line up with the Word of God and if it doesn’t, cast it out and replace it with His truth.

For example: When you look in the mirror and the old thoughts that you are ugly or undesirable creep into your mind, replace them with truth. Hey you……. did you know that God said you are beautifully and wonderfully made? Then ask yourself, “Do you believe it?”

When you feel unworthy replace those thoughts with truth. Hey you…….did you know that God said you are a temple of His Holy Spirit? Do you believe it?

Hey you…..did you know that God said you are His masterpiece? Do you believe it?

Hey you ….did you know that God said He knows you by name and that you are His? Do you believe it?

Hey you…..did you know that God said:

your are loved
you are powerful
your are filled with purpose
you are worth fighting for
you are capable
you are free
you are more than a conqueror
you are chosen
you are victorious

DO YOU BELIEVE IT? It’s time to change the script and remember that you are talking about a Daughter of The King, so speak His truth.
