You Are Valuable
I was looking at one of the “You Matter” cards this morning and the first tab reads, “You are Valuable.” Do you believe that? In my Personalized Prayer Bible there is a section about our identity in Christ that is specifically for understanding our value. Look at the words of God below that express just how valuable you are! Insert your name in the blanks below:

Which one caught your attention the most? One of my favorites is that we are called friend. We choose our friends because we connect with them and want to have a relationship with them. Spending time with them is one of our favorite activities and we look forward to seeing them and talking with them.
Christ, our Lord and Savior, the God of the universe, chose us as His friends. He wants to connect with us, spend time with us, talk with us and have a relationship with us. That is just amazing to me.
He created us and has provided everything we need in this life and in the next. We get to be connected with Him and be known as His. We are so valuable to Him that He made this relationship everlasting by adopting us and making a way for Him to dwell in us through His Holy Spirit. He wants to be with us always!
The dictionary defines valuable as; that which is precious has a very high intrinsic value or is very dear for its own sake, associations. We are precious to God. We are valuable and of great worth in His eyes.
The “You Matter” cards read, “Please take a reminder, so here is a reminder for you. Hey you! Did you know that You matter? You absolutely do!”
My prayer
Father, thank you for calling us Your friend and for seeing value in us that we often do not see ourselves. What a precious thing to be known as Yours. Help us to remember that we matter to our Lord and Savior. Help us to value our relationship with You more than anything else. You are the treasure Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
