Worn out for God
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:5
I cannot say enough about the Look Up Tour event that took place last week. So many moments captured my heart and mind. I am in awe of all that God has done, is doing and will accomplish through this experience.
Prior to the final evening event I had the opportunity to meet several other counselors and share about all the happenings related to this event. I was told that Will Graham had met with the local college football team and shared the message of salvation with them. Many gave their lives to the Lord. He also attended and spoke at each event in addition to many other meetings and activities. I was in awe thinking that he didn’t waste a moment of the time he had been given.
After the event I heard a comment that he looked tired. Thinking about his busy schedule for the last several days, who wouldn’t be. But it made me ask myself, “When was the last time I was worn out for God?” “When was the last time that I spent every precious moment I was given, in service to Him?”
If the angels in heaven rejoice over one lost sinner that repents, there must have been an enormous celebration this week in heaven for the many lost souls that found their way home. Seeing the joy on Will’s face as people flooded the stage to give their lives to God, I’m sure made all the hours of service worth it. What a beautiful thing to watch people come forward and know that they have been redeemed. What a joyful thing to witness as God’s messenger.
Thank you Lord for men and women who wholeheartedly serve you. Help me not to waste a moment that You have given me. Let me serve with passion, love and all that is in me. Let me be worn out for You Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
