Whatever May Come
Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be overwhelmed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
I was contemplating staying home from church on Sunday and just watching it online. It had been a long week and there had been many moments of battling with the enemy. Some battles ended in victory and some didn’t. It felt like a week of constant attacks, hence, the temptation to stay home. But, I deeply wanted to be obedient to God and I knew He wanted me to go to church.
During worship I discovered why He wanted me to attend in person. The power of corportate worship is amazing and my heart and mind were lifted to a place of deep communion with God.
One of the songs that we sang was by Jeremy Camp and is called Whatever May Come. As I read the words on the screen my heart could see God’s hand in a situation that I have been dealing with for a long time. In my mind I could see moments on the stairs of my home where God was interveining, where clarity was happening. I could feel His love and knew that He was making a way. He was commanding victory in this trial and all I needed to do, was believe. Believe that God is with me. Believe that He will sustain me. Believe that He will overcome.
He is greater than anything we face and He is at work, often behind the scenes, making things new and better than before. To Him be the glory, honor and victory forever!
