Hugs from Jesus

The other day I was scrolling through Facebook and came across the picture and caption above. It caught me off guard and I re-read it several times. As tears filled my eyes and joy filled my heart I knew without a doubt that it was true.

It was meant to be an ad for a new movie that is being produced by a man named Brock, but at that moment I knew that God meant it for something so much more…..a beautiful reminder that my sweet boy is the the loving arms of our Savior.

Today is Brock’s birthday and what better gift could there be than a hug from Jesus.

I googled “hugs from Jesus” and the images that came up warmed my heart and in just a few short moments I found myself saying, “I want a hug from Jesus.” The pictures showed him hugging people in joyous moments, weak moments, teaching moments, broken moments and victorious moments.

Thinking back on my life I have experienced His hugs in all of those moments and He is still giving them everyday in ways that I least expect, as well as in the moments when I am closest to Him. I feel His hugs when I read His word and understand the message He is teaching me. I feel His hugs when I talk to a stranger and let them know they matter. I feel His hugs when I speak to Him in prayer.

Hugs from Jesus are something that we can all be experiencing right here, right now. The closer we walk with Him the more we will experience them. And one day, we will be running into the open arms of our Savior for the best hug ever! Thank you Lord for your amazing love.
