The Post Office

There has been a fill in postmaster at the post office the last few weeks. She is friendly and calm and it’s been nice getting to know her a little. The working postmaster gets to pick the radio station and for the last few weeks instead of the usual country station, a Christian radio station has been playing.

It’s been nice hearing the positive music each morning and the other day I mentioned to her that I liked her music choice. She smiled and said she enjoyed the upbeat messages the songs provided. The music opened the door for the conversation and immediately we both knew that we were fellow believers.

She then began to tell me that her and her husband had been praying about a new job opportunity for him. He had been in construction and needed a change so he had applied to the post office.

She said he was on the bottom of the list of those that would possibly be offered the job. As they prayed, they felt peace and then they were notified that he had received the job with full benefits. Praise God! She said it felt good to tell someone about it.

Thank you Lord for Your unique ways to meet fellow believers. Thank you for answering their prayers and providing in such an amazing way for their family.
