The Heaven Test

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. – Romans 3:23

We live in a world that tells us to do whatever feels right, that being a good person is all it takes to get to heaven and that we can interpret God’s word however it best suits our lifestyles. That logic is wrong. God’s word gives specific details about what it means to be saved and His clear instructions on how to live a life that would honor Him.

Years ago I came across The Heaven Test. After answering a few questions it will rate your chances of getting to Heaven on your own goodness. Click the link and give it a try. Find out whether or not you will make it to Heaven.

How did you do? Just for fun I answered the questions differently each time I took the test to see the various responses. Guess what? The end result was always the same. I will not get to Heaven on my own merits.

Whether we want to admit it or not, we are all sinners just as God’s Word tells us in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” It goes on to say that “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.” – Romans 6:23 Jesus is our only Hope……our only Way to heaven.

God’s desire is that none should perish so He made a Way for us to have a relationship with Him and know with assurance that we will someday be in Heaven. That Way is through Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World. He paid the penalty for our sinful lives and gave us the gift of salvation through His precious blood on the cross. Your response to that gift will determine if you pass the real Heaven Test or not.

Father, thank you for making a Way for us to be saved and spend eternity with You. I pray that we will fully accept the gift of grace that You have so loving given to us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
