Strong & Courageous

You could definitely describe Deborah as strong and courageous. She was a woman who knew that her strength came from the Lord and her faith and trust in Him is what gave her the courage she needed to fulfill her purpose.

As Daughter’s of the King we are also strong and courageous. Like Deborah, we have God’s word that He will be with us and that He has already gone before us. We just need to believe it.

Joshua 1: 19 reads, “Have I not commanded you, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” That message was repeated several times to Joshua and sometimes we need to hear it over and over again.

That’s the beauty of God’s word, it’s always available for us in our moments of need. When we need encouragement. When we need reminded of God’s promises. When we need reminders of His love and grace. When we need words to express our praise for His faithfulness.

Our strength comes from the Lord. Our courage, the ability to do something that frightens us, comes from the Lord.

Repeat His word as often as you need to. It has been given to us for that exact purpose, to help us, guide us and encourage us. Meditate on it day and night, being careful to obey His commands and then we will be prosperous and successful.

Be Intentional about believing you are strong and courageous.

Lord, I want to thank you for the confidence that Your Word give us. Thank you for the privilege of having it available anywhere and anytime. Help us to know it and use it in every situation that we face. Let Your truth fill our hearts and minds and help us to become strong and courageous Women of Influence. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Joshua 1:6-9

Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.  Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.  Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
