Six Months Ago

Last fall as I was finishing the book “Royal Records of the Daughter of the King,” I was reviewing each bible character that would be featured monthly. I prayed about each story and felt that the right woman was in place for each and every month. Some I knew quite a bit about and others would be a new adventure to discover.

Deborah was one that I knew a bit about, but for some reason it didn’t really spark a lot of interest for me. Until now. Her story is one of perfect timing then and now. We’ll learn more about then, later. But for now the stories’ timing is relatable to all of us.

Over the last year there have been so many new battles along with regular life battles that each and everyone has had to face. Just like the Israelites during Deborah’s time, they felt oppressed and beaten down by the world around them.

It was time then for a leader to rise up and encourage them and it’s time now for us, as Daughter’s of the King, to rise up and remember that the battle is the Lords’.

Be Intentional about rising to the call on your life.

Lord, You have sent out the battle cry and I pray that we will respond. Your timing and purpose are perfect and it is for such a time as this that You have been preparing us. Help us to answer the call and rise up Lord! In Jesus’ name, amen.
