Rise Up!

Many times throughout the Bible you will read the words, “and the Lord raised up…….,”which is followed by a name of an individual that was called to serve a mighty purpose for God.

Each and every time that person was given the strength, courage and wisdom to accomplish everything that was required of them. Many of the tasks were so incredible that there would be no doubt it was only by the power of God that they were accomplished.

That was true of Deborah’s calling from God. The Lord raised her up at that exact time and place to be a leader for His people. Her authority didn’t come from herself, but from the God she served.

There is a song by Lauren Daigle called Rise Up and following that statement are the words, “He’s still rolling stones.” God is still calling and still moving stones today.

We are called to Rise Up! To step into the rolls that He has graciously created for us and do it with the knowledge that He will move any obstacle that stands in the way.

Those words can be said of you. “And the Lord raised up _____________ (speak your name) to serve a mighty purpose for which He had already prepared her to do.

Be Intentional about stepping in to the calling God has on your life.

Lord, thank you for calling us to be a part of Your work here on earth. I pray that we will rise to the occasion knowing that You will roll away anything that tries to prevent Your perfect will. Thank you for the encouragement and empowerment that those words, “RISE UP!” give to us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
