Right Place, Right Time
Have you ever had those moments when you knew God had placed you in the right place, at exactly the right time, for that specific moment? Well that happened today at church.
About a month ago my husband decided to join me at church. This was very exciting because he hasn’t attended church for several years. We went together for a few weeks and he asked if I would check out a different church with him. He wanted a smaller church and mentioned one in particular that was similar to the church we first attended when we became believers.
I researched the details and we attended the following week. It was warm and inviting and felt like the beginning days of our walk as believers. There were several people who reminded us of our original church family and most importantly my husband felt that this is where he was to be and that we needed to get plugged in. Praise God!
The second week was even more of the same as many people greeted us and welcomed us back saying they were so happy to see we had returned. The pastor shared a message about each member of the church playing a vital role and shared many ministry opportunities within. Then off script he mentioned the Habitat for Humanity project and a few others that were also important and needed willing, faithful and spirit lead individuals to step in and help.
Another gentleman in the audience upon hearing about the Habitat for Humanity project called out, “We need a mudder? Do you know of anyone?” Tracy and I both smiled.
After the service Tracy spoke with the man in charge of the project and the man shared how they were at a standstill because they needed a reliable person who could tape and texture. Tracy told him he was a drywall contractor and that he would do it. The man smiled and yelled to the others, “We have a drywaller! Praise God!”
He told us later that he wasn’t planning on going to church that day but felt that he was to be there. Then when the pastor made the unplanned comment about the project he again felt led to speak out. Tracy told him that he too was going to skip church that day but felt he was to be there, now he knew why.
Isn’t God Good! I know this project is going to give Tracy the opportunity to get to know and connect with other godly men which is an answer to many prayers. I’m so blessed that all of these men listened to God’s leading and the outcome is going to be incredible.
God is moving in a mighty way, Right Here, Right Now! Praise God!
My prayer
Father, You are amazing! I am humbled at the lengths You will go to answer prayers over and above what I can even imagine. Thank you for letting us be in the right place and the right time to see Your will for us. I’m in awe of Your love for us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Where does my help come from?
Romans 12: 4-5
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Isaiah 60:22
“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.”
