Restore My Soul – This Is The Day

What a gift to be sitting on the deck this morning listening to the soft rain as it dances on the tin roof. Smelling the fresh scent and seeing all the beautiful colors of flowers that are in full bloom all around me. Birds are chirping in the trees adding a beautiful melody to the songs of nature.

My coffee steams a bit in the cool morning air and the temperature is just perfect.

God’s message to me today: This is the day that I have made; rejoice and be glad in it.

This moment wouldn’t have been possible if I was still working in the office. It’s 9:45 am and I would have been sitting at my desk looking out at the rain and missing all the scents and sounds.

Thank you Lord that I am right where I am today. Right where You want me to be. You created this scene and time for me to enjoy it. You placed me right where I needed to be to experience every detail of this perfect morning. Thank you Lord!

In this season of intimacy with God I ‘m learning that each day is a gift and brings with it a new lesson to be learned and opportunity to see God in a personal way.

Today was the first day that I felt complete joy about all the changes that have taken place. I can see that God’s hand is in every detail and I’m excited about what He has in store for me.

I’m grateful that He has placed me in a position where I have to slow down, but in this place He has also provided so much that I would have missed otherwise.

This is a beautiful day that the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it.

My Prayer

Father, thank you for slowing down my world and for placing me exactly where You have. Thank you for the beauty of this day that You have made just so I could sit on my deck and take it all in. You are such a loving Father. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
