Restore My Soul – Seek Me

I was thinking of heaven today and when we will meet the Lord the thought, “I’ve waited my whole life for this,” came to mind. The familiarity of His voice. The joy at seeing His face. That love that is over flowing. What a great day that will be!

That familiarity will be because of the time we spent with Him on this side of eternity.

God’s message to me: Seek Me. Know Me.

I was reminded of the words of a song by Sonic Flood that I heard years ago when I first became a believer. Some of those words are:

I want to know you more
I want to see your face
I want to hear your voice
I want to touch you
I want to know you Lord!




As I sat on my deck looking over my back yard I realized that you can get a glimpse of God in the wonders of nature, but they are only a tiny reflection of His massive glory.  The best is yet to come - when we see Him face to face in heaven. 

In the waiting we are invited to seek Him. To know Him more. We have the privilege to intimately know the Savior of the world. To recognize His voice and to respond to His leading in our lives. His word says that if we seek Him with all our hearts we will find Him. What a treasure to be found!

Think about all the things that we seek in this life. Most of them once they are found loose their luster. But only Jesus promises that in seeking Him, He not only will be found, but we will also be known by Him and experience life abundantly.

My Prayer

Father, Thank you for times of quiet reflection that are so personal they give me an inner excitement and joy that cannot be explained. I do want to know You more. I want to seek Your face and hear Your voice. I want to know you Lord. Thank you for the promise that if I seek You, I will find You. I Love You Lord! In Jesus’ name, amen.
