Restore My Soul -Be Transformable

We have all seen the many changes and issues that are affecting our nation this year. People have their own ideas of how they would fix or change the issues, but other than march around with signs and loud voices and violence, what do they really do to affect real change?

Making this personal, what do I do to create positive change in my own life, in the life of others and in my surroundings?

God’s message to me: Seek My face with a teachable spirit and be transformed

I may want to lose weight and get healthy, but what to I do make that happen? I want peace in my life, but do I take in the things that create peace? I want security, but do I seek it in the only one that can provide real security? I want joy, but do I choose it in my daily activities?

Am I teachable? Do I have a teachable spirit that will welcome Godly transformation? The bible tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds then we will be able to test and approve the good and perfect will of God. Being transformed means to be changed by God’s truth and be willing to live out those truths. (Romans 12:2)

God’s word says that I am fearfully and wonderfully made so when I live out that truth my personal view of myself is transformed to a Godly view and I believe that I am uniquely created and loved. (Psalm 139: 13-16)

God’s word says not to be anxious about anything but in everything, with prayer and thanksgiving, present my requests to Him. When I live out that truth I experience His peace that surpasses understanding. (Philippians 4:6-8)

God’s word says that He is our refuge and strong tower. When I need a safe and secure place to turn, He is always available and He will never leave me. When I live in those truths I find real security. (Proverbs 18:10)

God’s word says that regardless of what is going on in my life I can be joyful in God my Savior. When I live out that truth I have hope and I can laugh at the days to come. (Habakkuk 3: 17-18) (Proverbs 31:25)

As our world transforms into what will someday be the new normal, the real transformation that needs to take place is in our own hearts and minds. Godly transformation transcends anything this world can comprehend and it provides a lifestyle that creates real change in ourselves and will affect those around us and our surroundings.

My Prayer

Father, please help me to submit to Your transformation. I want to live in Your will and be the change that I want to see in this world. Renew my mind, my thinking, with Your word and help me to live out Your truths. Thank you for Your promises and I pray that I can make a difference in the lives of others for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Where does my help come from?

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
