Redemption
The story of Ruth is not only about friendship but about redemption. It was in her relationship with Naomi that the Lord led her to be where He had planned and for a purpose much greater than she could ever imagine.
As a foreigner, Ruth knew what it felt like to be an outsider, to not fit in, to be different and to know rejection. But that all changed when she made the choice to go with Naomi and made her commitment to God.
“Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” (Ruth 1:16-17)
Ruth’s determination changed the course of her entire life and it would never be the same again. Our decision to accept Christ as our Redeemer does the same for us.
The life we knew before is now in the past and a new life in Christ awaits us. Christ’s redemptive work on the cross changed everything. We are no longer outsiders, but rather chosen, adopted and loved children of God.
We are redeemed and set free! And we get to live in a relationship with Christ wherever He leads and for the purposes He has already set in place.
Be Intentional about living in the redemption that has been given to you.

Praises & Prayers
