Radiates with Glee

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. – Acts 4:13

While on vacation I was reading The Chosen book two. The scene was about the woman at the well, who the writer named Photina, and the comment about her was that “she as usual radiates with glee in the presence of Jesus.” I would like the same thing said about me.

This woman fully understood what the grace of God encompassed. She was redeemed. Set free from sin. Had a new life in Christ and was telling everyone about it. No wonder she radiated.

Today’s passage is one of my favorites because it explains the unexplainable. Peter and John had been with Jesus and it made a drastic difference in their lives and people couldn’t help but notice. There was no other explaination for their change of heart, lifestyle and passion other than Jesus.

Does knowing Jesus and spending time with Him make a marked difference in your life? Are you filled with a passion to live differently for Him? To share Him with everyone you meet?

God Himself, will give you the courage to live in such a way that people will take note. They will see the difference that a relationship with Christ has made in your life. They will see the hope, the love, the joy and the peace that cannot be explained any other way. And hopefully, like the woman at the well, your testimony of Him and what He has done in your life, will encourage others to seek Him for themselves.
