Mission Field
I recently attended a concert that offered the opportunity to sponsor a child in a foreign country. Their stories are often heart breaking and I was touched by the many responses in the crowd. I was also reminded that we have a mission field right here outside our own front doors.
The definition of Macedonian cry is an outcry for help. Within our own towns and communities are many people who need help. We’ve all experienced a year like no other and our new normal is anything but normal. The fallout from 2020 has left many depressed, devastated, lost and hurting. The outcry is great….”Come and help us.”
We’ve all been through so much, but on the positive side that gives us the ability to understand each other and it’s on that common ground that we have the opportunity to share hope. The hope we have in Christ!
There is an engraved rock that sits at the door of the church I attend. It’s stationed so you can read it as you exit the building and it reads, “Entering the mission field.”
As believers we have the answer for the depressed, the devastated, the lost and the hurting. We don’t have to travel across oceans and continents to deliver that message, we only need to step outside.
We are messengers who have been entrusted with the greatest message ever given….the gospel. The message of grace and hope. God has placed you in this exact time and place for His good purpose. Answer the call and enter your mission field.
Be Intentional about entering the mission field where God has placed you.
Praises & Prayers
Father, thank you for the hope and encouragement You give me everyday. Help me to share Your message of grace and hope with the hurting, the lost and needy. You have called us to serve and I pray that we will respond. In Jesus’ name, amen.
