Meet: Esther
For the month of February we will discover some of the many lessons that can be learned from studying the life of Esther.
Overview – You have a Destiny
Esther was a woman that boldly walked in the full authority of what God had positioned her to do. As an orphan she was raised by her uncle Mordecai who instructed her throughout her life. She was lovely in form and figure and was chosen to become part of the quest to find the King of Persia a new queen. This set in place a refining process that not only included her outward appearance but would also require the refining of her inward attributes as well.
God was blending both her character and circumstances to accomplish great things; the saving of the Jewish people. Esther’s destiny was starting to unfold. Esther was teachable and patient as she prepared to meet the king and when the time came she won favor with him and became his new queen. When the decree to annihilate all the Jewish people was made, Mordacai instructed her about what she should do saying, “ And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
God knows. God had placed Esther in that exact place, in that exact time for that specific purpose just as He has placed you in this exact time, this exact place for your specific purpose.
Lessons from her life
- True beauty begins on the inside and it is our inner transformation that will have the greatest influence on others.
- God has a purpose for the situations in which He places us.
- Courage comes from God who is our ultimate security.
Life Application
You have a God given destiny right where you are. Submit to God’s refining and trust that He will accomplish His good will and purpose in and through you.
Remember
God has not placed you in your present position simply for your benefit; He put you there to serve Him.
