Love the Holy Spirit

There are friends and then there are “best friends.” The difference is that best friends know every detail about you and they are the ones that you confide in, trust and desire to spend the most time with.

Christ gave us a best friend; the Holy Spirit. “If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you. I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth. The godless world can’t take him in because it doesn’t have eyes to see him, doesn’t know what to look for. But you know him already because he has been staying with you, and will even be in you! ” John 14: 16-17 MSG

As Women of Influence we are to know the Holy Spirt and in knowing Him we recognize His leading, presence and the truth. We are never alone and have been given the gift of the truest friend imaginable. A true companion that we can confide in, cry with, share joy with and experience every detail of life with.

The Holy Spirit is Christ in you. An every present help in times of need. A comforter in times of grief. A teacher. A healer. A father. A joy giver. A friend.

Father, thank you for the gift of Your Holy Spirit – a true friend. Thank you for always doing what’s best for us and for giving us Your continual presence. Help us to know You more and to deepen our relationship with Your Spirit that lives within us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
