Equipped and Empowered
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 God has graciously equipped you by creating you with spiritual gifts and natural God-given talents, each of which will be necessary in transforming you into all that He knows you will become. As you lean on Him you are empowered, enabled, and equipped for supernatural success through His Holy Spirit that dwells within you. This doesn’t mean that you’ll never face tough times, but it does mean you can experience victory over them. Speaking God’s Word will give you the power to effectively resist adversity just as Jesus did when He was tempted. As you speak…

Called with purpose
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 Before the foundation of the world, the Lord had you in mind. He created you for the purpose of having a personal relationship with Him that would not only help you navigate through this life but would also bring promises of eternal glory with Him in the next. His plan was not only to save you from your sins but to redeem you, and make you a new creation in Christ, as you share His life and love with others as His ambassador…

Christ in me
Christ in me, the hope of glory. – Colossians 1:27 What a privilege it is to be called a Daughter of The King. That title instantly speaks of value, purpose, calling, and empowerment. Before the world began, God desired to create you just the way you are. He carefully knit you together in your mother’s womb, and into your beautifully designed uniqueness, He left room for the most incredible gift, His presence. His desire is to dwell within you where He can lovingly guide your steps, teach you wondrous truths, encourage you through His constant presence, and empower you to not only overcome obstacles in your life but to…

He Delights in You
The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. Psalm 147:11 The following question was asked in my bible study yesterday. What are some things in your life – blessings from God – that you really enjoy? One of my answers was my granddaughters. I then began to list some of the things about them that bring joy into my life. As I was thinking about this I heard the Lord say, “I feel the same way about you.” That moment brought a whole new awareness of God’s love for me and I began to understand that the feelings I have towards my precious granddaughters, God has towards…

Talk About
But he refused. Instead, he (went off) and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. Matthew 18:30 The other day I read the definition of entitled which is; believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. I’m sure we can all picture someone in our minds who we think feels entitled, but the truth is that someone is often ourselves. After several weeks of waiting for plumbers, electricians, and a phone repairman to show up between the hours of 8 am – 5 pm, I was not in a godly state of mind when I received a call that an online delivery…

The Persecuted – Building on The Rock of God’s Promises
Blessed is __________ if she has been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for hers is the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 5: 10 ___________ must be self-controlled and alert. Her enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. ________ must resist him, standing firm in the faith, because she knows that her brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called her to his eternal glory in Christ, after she has suffered a little while, will Himself restore __________ and make her strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power forever and…

Blessed are The Persecuted
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 5:11 We may never experience martyrdom for our faith as many faithful believers have done over time, but God’s Word tells us that, as believers, we will all experience persecution because of our belief in Christ. It may come in quiet, subtle ways or may be bold and direct. It may be short lived or lifelong. Regardless of when, how or for how long, it has the potential of working, what the enemy intended for evil, for our good – the perfecting of our faith. Consider it pure joy, my brothers and…

Puzzles
God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. Psalm 18:20 MSG I was looking at some puzzles the other day and was taken in by the beauty of each finished picture on the back of the box. So much detail. So much color. Beautiful landscapes and scenes that made you want to be there. One puzzle had 1000 pieces, another had 750 and others had 400. Each was unique and regardless of the number of pieces, once completed would make the exact picture it was intended to make. Our lives are just like those puzzles. There is a final display that will awe and amaze us…

The Family Business
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 My husband has often talked about the different construction contractors that have owned their own businesses. As soon as their kids are old enough they start working for the family business. The hopes of the fathers is that one day their kids will be able to step in and work the business from the experience and knowledge they have accummulated over the years. As children of God we too have been called to work in the family business and that business is the work of…

God has no grandchildren
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12 I have been blessed with two wonderful granddaughters. They are a gifts from God and bring so much joy into my life. When I read the notes in my study today that said, “God has no grandchildren,” I had to pause and think about that for a moment. The statement came from my study in Genesis 28 that tells the story of Jacob leaving his parents home and heading out to make a life for himself. The study notes read; “God’s covenant promise to Abraham and Isaac…
