Jesus Is The Way
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Since the beginning of time people have basically been searching for three things: Some direction (the way), something that is real (the truth), and something that will last forever (life.)
In our world there are many ways to travel: highways, back roads, buses, trains, planes and more. The world tells us that there are also many ways, or paths, to reach God: Be a good person, follow a list of do’s and don’ts, and go to church and countless different religions. They also say we should do whatever feels best to us, do whatever is right in our own eyes. But the Bible tells us that there is a way that seems right to a man, but in its end is the way to death. (Proverbs 14:12)
The world says the road is wide open and you get to choose which path is right for you to get to God. But the Bible says we should enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. Jesus did not tell His disciples about the way or show them the way or guide them along the way, but He said, “I am the way.”
It’s only through Jesus. He is the only way to get saved, to get right with God, and to be born again. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
God is always present, whispering into our souls and speaking to our hearts. He is there when we are angry, confused, scared, running from Him and too busy for Him. He is the only way we will experience grace, peace, love and hope in this ever searching world.
