Influencers
We see this term all over social media and might ask ourselves, “What is an influencer?” By definition an influencer is someone who has: the power to affect the purchasing decisions of others because of his or her authority, knowledge, position, or relationship with his or her audience; one who exerts influence : a person who inspires or guides the actions of others.
In her day, Deborah would have been considered an influencer, but with a much greater purpose that getting people to buy the latest trends. She was respected by the people of Israel because she influenced them to live for God.
Daily they saw her example of living a Godly life in the way she conducted her affairs and those of the nation. Next, the people saw her in action when she went to battle with Barak, unafraid because of her faith and trust in the Lord’s words of deliverance. No wonder the people had no problem trusting her. She walked the talk.
As Daughter’s of the King we are also influencers. We have been given positions of authority in our homes, communities, places of employment, churches and everywhere God leads us. Our authority is given by God and is to be used to serve others.
How are you influencing others? Do they see you living what you are preaching (posting on social media)? Do they see a woman who has a personal relationship with Jesus? A woman who prays, a woman who trusts and obeys God, a woman who hopes in God and believes in His promises?
You have greater influence than you know. Use it to inspire others to seek after God.
Be Intentional about using your influence for God
Praises & Prayers
Father, thank you for the position of Daughter of the King. I pray that I will represent You well. That I can live a life of integrity and honor that will reflect my beliefs and trust in You as my Lord and Savior. Help me to inspire others to seek You and grow in their own relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Messages from His Word
Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
