Live Boldly

In Christ, I have been redeemed

You have taken up my cause, O Lord; You have redeemed my life.  Lamentations 3:58

There I was, covered in the muck and mire of my sin. Drowning in the pit of despair so deep that I couldn’t see a way out.  I felt the weight of my sins upon me, pushing me down further and further to a place of darkness, taking away my hope and replacing it with dread for the days to come.  Knowing I deserved the punishment before me, my only hope was to call out to the One who offered mercy, who spread wide His arms to give me the grace I did not deserve.

He heard my cry and in an instant, pulled me from the pit, set my feet on the solid rock of His redemptive work, and gave me a new song.  A song of the redeemed.  A new life, purchased by the precious blood of Christ, and by His love, I have been forever changed.  Let the redeemed of The Lord say so.

My new life in Christ is the redemption song that tells my story of God’s forgiveness and favor.  It sings praises to the One who bought my freedom with His own life.  He taught me the unforced rhythm of grace that comes from spending time with Him, learning from Him, and resting in His presence.

My heart’s desire is to know Him more and to share Him with a world that is hurting just as much as I was, so that they will know the truth, choose freedom and experience a new life in Christ, as He orchestrates their own redemption song.
