Live Boldly

In Christ

I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

When Jesus was in the wilderness being tempted, He found His encouragement and strength in God’s word. What He endured, not only in the wilderness but in His life and on the cross was more than we can ever imagine and it’s by His example of where He found His strength, that we can be encouraged when we face the difficulties of life.

Sometimes God leads us on hard paths instead of easy ways. He does this because He is doing a work in us. He is trying to teach us to lean on Him. If life was always easy we would only depend on ourselves and we would miss out on a relationship of reliance on God.

It’s in that relationship of dependence on God that we experience His many characteristics. We discover Him to be our counselor, helper, intercessor, strengthener, comforter, teacher, Father, friend and so much more. He is our Everything!

A gentleman shared a message at church on Sunday about the beatitudes and said the definition of blessed was, “Life is better for the one who…” and he went on to say, “Life is better for the one who mourns because he will be comforted because Christ is there.” Meaning that life doesn’t get any better than when we are experiencing Christ regardless of our circumstances.

We often think that there are things in this life that make it more enjoyable and more meaningful, but the truth is that they are temporary. Christ is eternal. His grace is unending. His love is never failing. His faithfulness reaches to the skies. In Him, we are able to overcome. In Him, we will be victorious. In Christ, we can do all things.
