I Am The Resurrection & The Life

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;  and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

Yes, Lord! I believe that You are the Savior of the world, the Son of God, who came into the world to save us from our sins and give us new life, abundant life in You!

This is one of my favorite I AM statements. Jesus made this statement to Martha after her brother Lazarus had died. It was spoken to her during the lowest time in her life, when she needed the most hope. Everything in her world was turned upside down and made no sense. Have you ever felt that way?

It’s in those moments that we need to hear the truth. That truth is that Jesus has full power over life and death. He is fully aware of every detail and nothing is a surprise to Him.

It’s in those moments like Martha, that we need to go to Him and pour out our hearts to Him, tell Him everything and listen to His voice of truth. Listen and believe!

Believe that He is who He says He is. Believe that He has done and will do everything He said He would. Believe that He has made a way. Believe that He is already there for you.

Lord, I thank you for Your words of truth. You are the resurrection and the life and Yes Lord, I believe. You go before us and have made a way. You walk beside us and give us courage. You are already there at the end. We can trust You Lord. Help us believe and live for You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
