I Am The Light of The World
Mary understood what it was like to live in darkness. Her world before Jesus was filled with demons and turmoil. How many times had she hoped for peace, for joy, for a light at the end of the tunnel? Perhaps you can relate?
She chose to believe Jesus when he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Think about that promise…..Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. That gives me incredible hope!
I had a friend who recently returned from a trip to Las Vegas. She had many fun pictures and moments, but one of her final statements broke my heart. She said there was so much darkness there. Hurting people. Lost people.
My friend knows that not only is Jesus the Light of the World, but He has also called us as believers to be the Light of the World. He has called us to let our lights shine before others, that they may see our good deeds and glorify our Father in Heaven.
That means that no matter where we are, where we live or how dark it may be around us, He has given us the power to shine brightly for Him! Many who live in spiritual darkness will be attracted by your light and want to step into it. And when they do, Jesus’ light will always reveal His truth.
You get to be a hope giver! You get to be a light bearer! Go shine like the stars!

Praises & Prayers
Lord, thank you for lighting the way for me to find You. Thank you for giving me the privilege of being that light for others. There is much darkness in this world Lord, but that only makes You shine brighter. Help me to be a hope giver and light bearer that will lead others to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Messages from His Word
Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
