Live Boldly

How God Sees You

In the last few months I have noticed changes in my appearance every time I look in the mirror. More fine lines are finding their way around my eyes and lips. My mind is telling me that I’m getting older while my heart wants to look as youthful as possible. Our aging appearance has a way of making us feel that we have out grown our usefulness or that we are no longer capable of making a difference and being of service to God.

Sarah was past the years of child bearing and did not believe that God’s promise of a son could be fulfilled with her. When the angels told her of God’s promise she laughed and replied, “After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure? Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?”

Her focus was on how she saw herself not on how God saw her. God saw her as a woman of promise. A woman that would be an example to others for generations to come of the lengths that God will go to keep His promises. A woman that would overcame her doubts and became a woman of faith.

That, my friend, is how God sees you! You are a Daughter of the King and you have tremendous purpose in this place and time. His word contains so many promises for you regardless of your age, location, background and current circumstances.

He is faithful! He will overcome and accomplish everything that He has planned since the beginning of time. Our limited view of ourselves will not hinder He perfect view.

Be Intentional about seeing yourself as God sees you.

Praises & Prayers

Father, thank you for the reminder that You see us the way that You created us. Help us to change our view and to see ourselves as women of faith that believe in Your promises no matter how long it may take to see the fulfillment of them. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Messages from His Word

Hebrews 10:23

We must hold on to the hope we have, never hesitating to tell people about it. We can trust God to do what he promised.
