Divine Encounters,  Live Boldly

He Is Risen!

Today we celebrate the greatest Divine Encounter the world has ever seen, The Risen Lord!

We’ve all heard the story of Mary Magdalene who was the first person to see Jesus alive again. We read about her joy when He spoke her name and her excitement to go and tell the others.

What about the men on the road to Emmaus? Their response was, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

And don’t forget the disciples that touched His nail scarred hands and broke bread with Him. He gave them peace.

Think back to your most important Divine Encounter with Christ, the day you asked Him to be the Lord and Savior of your life. What was it like? Where were you? Who did you tell?

The best part is that we get to experience unlimited Divine Encounters with Christ. Just like the people mentioned above our hearts can burn within us when we hear His voice or when He opens up our hearts and minds to understand His word.

We may not physically feel the scars in His hands, but He did say, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29) You are blessed!

To have Divine Encounters with God, we need to be obeying Him. His last words to His disciples were, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We are His disciples. We get to experience His peace, His voice through the Holy Spirit and burning within our hearts when we read and understand His word. We get to communicate with Him anytime and anywhere through prayer. We get to share Him with the world…..We get to go!

Jesus Christ is inviting you to join him in your own relationship with Him, will you accept his invitation?

Accepting his invitation can start with a simple prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus:

I know that I am a sinner and I believe that you died to pay the penalty for my sins. Thank you for taking my punishment. Please come into my heart and help me to live for you. Amen.

If you made that choice and began a relationship with Our Savior would you let me know. I want to pray for you and walk with you.

Happy Easter! He Is Risen!
