Happy Friday

I sought the Lord, and He answered me;
He delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4

This morning, as I was praying, I had some deep thoughts on my mind that felt all-consuming. I tried to think of other things, like the leaves that I get to rake today and my beautiful home that I get to clean. I also thought of my job and the work that God has provided for me to do today, but the heavy thoughts seemed to outweigh them. So, I told God about them.
As soon as I told Him my concerns, I could hear a song in my head that said, “I sought the Lord and He heard and He answered. That’s why I trust Him.” He gave me an opportunity to take my thoughts captive because I knew with absolute certainty that He had heard me and that I could leave my worries at His throne and go about my day. He didn’t instantly resolve those concerns, but He took them and sweetly told me to go play in the leaves. He’s got this.
The funny thing is that the issue I was stressing over was about not being heard, and God let me know that even though others may not hear or choose not to listen, He always hears me.
I pray you have a blessed weekend, and if you get a chance, play in the leaves.
