God is faithful
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
At the Look Up Tour event this last weekend I was so blessed to see people whom I haven’t seen in years. One of those precious people was Janice. I first met her and her husband when I attended Grief Share for the first time many years ago.
I love those moments when you see someone and you just know that you know them from somewhere. Then as you begin talking with each other it all comes back to you. Janice and I had the opportunity to re-connect and it was beautiful.
She shared with me about her three requests of God. She wanted to walk again, work again and drive again. A terrible illness had taken those abilities away from her shortly after we had first met. Then she joyfully told me that all three had been granted by God. Praise the Lord!
She was in a wheelchair at the event because she uses a walker and the crowd could easily knock her down. Her heart’s desire was to help at the event, but the previous day she had been set aside. But today, she was front and center, ready to be used by God. And she was.
I was so blessed by our reunion and hearing about the faithfulness of God in her life. I was encouraged by her joy, her smile and her desire to pray for me daily and send a text of the verse she prays each day. But I wasn’t the only one touched by her presence. Another woman sat beside her at the event and she too was encouraged by Janice. Others at the alter call were blessed and in God’s infinite and loving way, He let the entire audience see a woman praising the Lord from a wheelchair on the big screen as the cameras captured her multiple times throughout the worship service. What a testimony! What a gift!
Janice, you made a difference. You touched lives. You serve a mighty purpose! Thank you for your faithfulness.
