Fellowship – Fills My Cup
Once our cups are full our responsibility is to pour them out to others and we do that through fellowship. This is where we share Jesus.
God gave us the gift of fellowship clear back in the Garden of Eden. We were designed for relationship and fellowship simply means to pursue a shared interest. That interest would be our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Fellowship is meant to be a way that we can encourage each other in this journey of life. When we encourage others we will usually find that we also are encouraged. Speaking words of hope, courage and joy to others fills us with the same.
In the bible story of the Woman at the well, we read that the woman returned to her village and encouraged others with the living water she had received from Christ. After listening to the woman the people wanted to see Jesus, the Messiah, for themselves.
As they approached Jesus he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Did you know that there is an abundant need in this world for your exact contribution to the Kingdom…..your thoughts, words and talents….your exact kind of beautiful? Your fellowship with other believers will and does make a difference!
What an incredible opportunity we have to be working hand in hand with our Savior. We get to pour into the lives of others through fellowship. An entire village came to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior when the woman at the well shared with them. Imagine what God will do when You share!
My Prayer
Father, thank you for the gift of relationships. Help us to understand how important it is for us the fellowship and encourage one another. I pray that we will choose to be workers in Your harvest and that we will joyfully share You with the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Where does my help come from?
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
