Live Boldly

Extraordinary

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13

Over the last several weeks I have been experiencing a much needed time out with God. In this time He has graciously made me aware of the many issues that I need to address and with each one, He has also shown me what I need to do in order to make the necessary changes in my mind, heart, attitude and actions.

There have been many tears, confessions, moments of repentance and forgiveness as well as joyful outbursts of praise, new understanding and a peace that is beyond comprehension. What I now see is that God was clearing the way for me to be able to receive fresh revelation from Him about what “Christ in Me,” truly means.

He has blessed me with the most beautiful stories of friends who are living examples of grace, mercy, love and compassion as they show through their daily lives what Jesus would do in their everyday circumstances.

He has shown me how we can become bogged down with the many passions of the world and responsibilities of life, instead of being lifted up with passion and praise for Him.

He has gifted me with extra time with Him to teach me and remind me that I’m called to be His messenger not only in words but in how I live my daily life. My life should be a reflection of His light that dwells within me. And because of all this, I have discovered that I don’t have anything extraordinary about me, but what I do have is “Christ in Me,” and that makes all the difference in my world.

We have the privilege of sharing this incredible gift of Christ in us, with others. Instead of searching for that one big moment to make a difference, we are given many small significant opportunities everyday to be Jesus to the world and when we do they won’t be able to help but notice that we have spent time with Him.

Lord, please remove anything from my life that keeps me from You. I want to be mindful of the priceless treasure that You have given to me, Your Holy Spirit living in me. Have Your way in my life Lord and open my eyes to the ordinary moments that You will make extraordinary because You are in the center of each and every one of them. In Jesus’ name, amen.
