Declare It!

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame. – Romans 10:9-11

Declare means to make known or state clearly, to proclaim one’s position or to announce officially. As believers, God’s word tells us to declare with our mouth that Jesus is the Lord of our lives. It is an outward expression of the truths we believe in our heart and mind of the salvation we have received in Christ. This is an act of faith which will identify us to the world as a Daughter of The King.

When we make a public declaration it boldly professes what we believe and helps to hold us accountable for those beliefs. Telling your family, friends and co-workers that Jesus is the Lord of your life will cause them to watch and see the difference that it makes in the way you live. As a believer are you more loving, forgiving, gracious and peaceful? Do you have patience and gentleness for others because of the grace and faithfulness that you have received from God?

Our heartfelt declaration of faith in Christ unites us with Him and with others who believe and follow Him. Declare with the me the goodness and mercy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
