Creative Provision
I was recently working on a project, that I felt led by God to do, when the financial cost became more that I expected. My mind swirled with thoughts, some of which were doubts if I should continue with the project and others a bit more selfish. For a brief moment I thought of the money in my bank account as my own. Then just as quickly, I was reminded that all I have is a gift from God and it all belongs to Him. I prayed for forgiveness and resolved to trust that God would work things out, both financially and especially in my heart.
First thing the next morning a client called and decided to upgrade their trip. The upgrade not only gave them a luxury suite, it gave me more commission. Guess how much? The amount that was need to pay for my project!
Next God decided to provide for me in the area of my Royal Makeover. I have been prayed for help to stay the course and decided to have a toasted sandwich for lunch. While the much to large creation was in the toaster oven half the cheese fell off on one side, causing that part of the sandwich to burn. I believe this was God helping me to keep my food portions in check. Then I was tempted to have chips with my sandwich. As I ate the first chip, the exact bible verse I had asked the Lord bring to my attention when I was tempted to make an unhealthy choice, came to mind. “If you love me, you will obey me.” I victoriously passed on the chips.
God is so creative in the many ways that He provides for us. As I reviewed my day I could just imagine Him saying, “Trust Me. I’ve already provided all you will need, to do what I’ve asked you to do.” When I thought of the lunch incident I pictured Him smiling at His unique display of provision and then saying, “That’s my girl!”
