Confirmation of Your Calling
You are young, but do not let anyone treat you as if you were not important. Be an example to show the believers how they should live. Show them with your words, with the way you live, with your love, with your faith, and with your pure life. – 1 Timothy 4:12
I have been working on the Royal Records book for next year and have enjoyed diving deep into God’s Word for what He would have me write. At the same time the enemy has been attempting to distract and discourage my efforts.
Many times as believers we face challenges of the enemy meant to derail us from doing what God has clearly called us to do, and as believers, that is to know and share the Gospel Message with others. The enemy uses every weapon in his arsenal with the intent to make us doubt God’s calling and the equipping for that calling that God has already provided.
But God’s Word tells us that no weapon forged against us will prevail, and we will refute every tongue that accuses us. (Isaiah 54:17) We do this by applying God’s truth to the lies of the enemy. So when I was doubting my calling from God, He gave me a personalized message from His Word. Insert your name and see if it doesn’t help reconfirm your calling as well.
1 Timothy 4:13-16
Until I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, and to teaching. ___________ must not neglect the gift that is in her, which was given to her by prophesy, with the laying on of hands by the elders. ___________ is to be diligent in these things. ______________ is to give herself wholly to them, that her progress may be revealed to all. _______________ is to pay attention to herself, and to her teaching. ________ must continue in these things, for in doing this she will save both herself and those who hear her.
We have a responsibility to share the message of redemption with others and it’s an empowering word of confirmation to know that when we do, lives will be eternally saved.
