Command Victories

You are ____________’s King, O God. Command victories for her! Through You, will ________________ push down her adversaries. Through Your name will _______________ tread them under who rise up against her. _______________ will give thanks to Your name forever. – Psalm 44:4-5,8

There are so many incredible stories in the bible of people who experienced unimaginable victories. They overcame obstacles, found freedom, were released from prisons and became new creations in Christ.

The beginning of Psalm 44 speaks about remembering the days of old. How God delivered His chosen people and placed them in the promised land. It wasn’t by their own efforts, but by the power of God working in and through their lives and circumstances.

As Daughter’s of The King, we experience the same challenges as the believers who have gone before us. But, we have the benefit of reading about what God did in their lives to encourage us and strengthen our faith. Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Today’s passage is a request of God to have His way in our lives. The victories His will give may look different than we expect, but they will be what is best for us. As the details of the victory are being worked out, we will see the hand of the Lord giving us the strength needed to resist and put the enemy in his place and like the saints of old, we will praise our God forever and ever.
