Divine Encounters

Bring The Rain

This last month has been filled with an abundance of issues that I pray will be remedied soon and that in the midst of all of them, God will be honored.

Six family members have battled covid 19 all with completely different symptoms and severities. One of my brothers had to have his heart restarted due to a reaction from the vaccine that he received for the virus.

I recently recovered from ten days of ice pick headaches that may have been from the virus and has caused eye sensitivity and other issues that will now have to be addressed.

My 20 year old nephew is scheduled for open heart surgery for an aortic aneurism and valve replacement.

Whew……

Today when I woke up it was raining. For a brief moment I wished for warm sunshine just to brighten the day when God sweetly reminded me that many people are praying for rain for the ongoing fire that is burning in Firth.

Let it rain Lord!! This rain is an answer to many prayers and I pray that it will stop the fire and bring peace to all involved.

Shortly after hearing from the Lord, He blessed me further with a message from a sweet friend, Diane. She was asking about our family and after the update she said she would be praying for all of us and shared James 1:2-4:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Just reading God’s Word brought peace to my soul. Knowing that people were praying for us gave encouragement.

God’s Divine Encounters came in many forms today. Prayers, words of encouragement, God’s Word, Church online and even the rain.

The sweet scent of the rain reminded me that God sees all and is over all. He has purpose for each and every issue. I was reminded how easy it is to take good health for granted. I was reminded that what I might see as one thing, others see as an answer to their prayers.

Lord, You have purpose even in the rain. Thank you!!
