Amelia
I needed to stop by the grocery store after work to pick up a few items before I was to be at an evening appointment. There was a store about 3 minutes from my office, but when I thought about what I needed and prayed for time to get my task accomplished, I ended up going to a store across town which was the opposite direction of where I needed to go.
While in the store I quickly gathered all the items on my list and made my way to the checkout lines. I looked them over trying to find one with the shortest line of customers and ended up with one that wasn’t the shortest, but it also wasn’t the longest.
A nurse and her son were placing their items on the conveyor belt as the clerk quickly scanned them. It was nice to see how the son was so helpful to the mother who looked like she was tired, probably from a long day of helping others.
I then noticed the clerk. She was a young girl with unique glasses, a trendy hair style and beautiful face. She was working quickly and efficiently and had a serious look about her.
When my turn came to pay for my groceries I told her that she looked stunning and that she was doing a great job. Then she smiled which only added to her already gorgeous appearance. She said thank you and that she needed to hear that.
As I finished bagging my groceries she had moved on to the next customer, greeting them with that beautiful smile.
Thank you Lord that you directed me to the right store for the right reason. I could have purchased those items at any store, but You had a purpose for Amelia to hear those words that day at that moment. You always take care of all the details.
