A Divine Encounter
The other day I shared about searching for a bible study and how God boldly led me to the Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyers.
Not only was that a very powerful moment that gave me very clear direction on where to begin, but over the last week as I have been working through the study I have seen His guidance and desire to get my attention to correct the thoughts and actions that are not in alignment with His will.
Each day a new issue is brought to light along with how to properly handle it and opportunities to practice what I’m learning.
I am in awe that God loves me so much. That He would take the time to clearly direct me and instruct me for my own good. It’s not easy to admit our faults and short comings, but when our Loving Father says it’s time to address them and overcome them…..He means it.
My heart is so full of thankfulness that God has not written me off because of the many times that I fail Him. On the contrary He is always right there to encourage me to begin again.
His love never fails! And because He loves us so much He will never let us stay in situations that do not honor Him.
Hebrews 12:5-6 reads:
And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
There are no words to describe how wonderful it is to be loved by God!
