A Different Direction
Divine guidance comes to hearts prepared to receive it. The Wise men had found the child they had long been searching for and were about to return back to Jerusalem to tell Herod, but they were warned in a dream by God not to return to Jerusalem so they returned to their country by another route.
When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”
Finding Jesus may mean that your life must take a different direction, one that is open to His Word and responsive to His leadership. Like the wise men, you may need to follow a different path than you originally planned. Or perhaps like Joseph, you have been called to move quickly with a moments notice.
Knowing Jesus will change your life. It may be a physical location, a career decision or a relationship choice, but it will always include a different direction in the way you think and respond. Divine guidance is much different than our own leading and will always take us to the place of trust and obedience to God’s will.
Is your heart prepared to receive Divine guidance? Will you go in a moments notice wherever God directs? Will you change directions if that’s what God requires? God always has a reason when He leads us in a different direction.
Be Intentional about obeying God’s leading
